INSTRUCTIONS FOR MANUAL VACUUM:
- Turn off pump. Connect supplied female adapter to bottom end of leaf trap (see illustration) .
Connect regular vacuum hose or pool cleaner hose to lid of Leaf Trap and connect remaining end of hose to vacuum head or automatic pool cleaner. - Depress latch on handle to open lid. Submerge Leaf Trap until filled with water. With Leaf Trap still under water, push lid closed until
inter position place. - Start pump and follow procedure for vacuuming pool.
- To use filter cartridge, R172653(optional), remove bag or basket and install cartridge. It may be necessary to hold canister
vertically to engage cartridge plug in lid before closing.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
- The 186 Leaf Trap can be serviced while still in the pool without disconnecting the hoses, if you wish.
- To do so, first tilt the Leaf Trap lid end upward to allow any debris to settle inside the bag or basket.
- Turn off pump. Depress latch on handle to open lid. Move bag, basket or cartridge for cleaning.
- Check O-Fitting on canister body and clean or replace as necessary Lubricate with Lifeguard Silicone only.
Do not use any petroleum based product. - Replace bag, basket or cartridge and snap lid closed. It may be necessary to hold canister vertically to engage
cartridge plug in lid before closing.
