The addition of Total Alkalinity will increase the total alkalinity of pool water. Check total alkalinity
with a test kit. One pound of Total Alkalinity will increase the total alkalinity of 5,000 gallons of pool
water by 12 ppm. Pool water should have at least 50 ppm total alkalinity.

Add the recommended dosage of this product during evening hours while filter is running. When
adding this product to your pool, broadcast the product evenly over a wide area in the deepest part of
