This pump kit is the same as previously used for swimming pool filtration and circulation. However, due to recent regulation changes, it no longer complies with DOE energy efficiency standards for dedicated-purpose pool pumps (DPPPs). As a result, it is not intended for pool circulation but can still be used for non-circulation applications such as decorative fountains, waterfalls, and other approved uses.
