• 10 pounds per 10,000 gallons
• NOTE: The use of a sequestrant is required to filter out the stain.
  Try Magenta Stuff, Pink Stuff, Blue Stuff, or Purple Stuff.

How long will the treatment take?
A Stain #2 treatment can take anywhere from 48 hours to several weeks.

What happens during the treatment if my dog gets into the pool?
When doing a Stain #2 treatment we do not recommend pool use by people or pets due to the pH being below the normal levels. During a Stain #2 treatment the pH is often in the low 6.0 range. By comparison most soft drinks are a pH of 4 to 5.

I did the #2 treatment and now I can’t get a Chlorine reading.
With a Stain #2 treatment the chemical will cause a combined chlorine reading for as much as 30 days. You should not try to shock out the combined chlorine for two weeks following the treatment. Be sure that you are testing both free and total chlorine to avoid over chlorinating.

When doing a #2 treatment, do I still add the acid if my Alkalinity and pH are already low?

How long should I run my pump after adding Stain Solution #2?
Run your pump continuously for the duration of the treatment.
