How does Hasa Swimming Pool 8 Gallon Liquid Chlorine Feeder C-201 The Liquidator 96101 Automatically Chlorine Feeder Work?
The The Liquidator’s tank is partially filled with pool water.
Liquid chlorine is poured in through a funnel and drop tube.
Liquid chlorine remains at the bottom of the tank, because it is heavier than water!
With the chlorine under a bed of pool water, most of the odors associated with the use of these chemicals is eliminated.

When the Chlorine Compounds are added to water it creates hypochlorous acid (HOCl), the killing form of chlorine and hypochlorite ions (OCl), which are relatively inactive. The pH of the water determines what percentage of the chlorine is in the killing form.
Pouring liquid chlorine directly into the water or using a chemical feed pump introduces additional chemical salts that drive the pH up and contributes to the build up of dissolved solids. The Liquidator eliminates this problem by introducing the liquid chlorine in a unique way.

The product is relatively easy to install. The build quality seems to be excellent.
I use flexible hoses to and from my above-ground pool so I bought PVC pipe and fittings so I could fabricate extensions to the pump and filter so that I would have a place to drill the 3/8″ holes for the input and output for the Liquidator.

Been using this product for about 1 year now. Don’t let it sit with chlorine in it or you will get the flaky white build up. Even if you do it is easy to wash out. Works really well for keeping the pool balanced overall.

This chlorinator is the best system for low pool maintenance. The only draw back would be if it sat outside. The unit is not made to sit outside. The unit we have is located within a pool house and gets no direct sunlight and is not exposed to the elements. Also, directions must be followed closely to ensure proper function. Liquid chlorine must be poured slowly into the funnel to ensure not to splash anything outside the funnel area. So thankful we found this system!
